The trend is viral. The litter shouldn’t be. 🚬🌍

Cigarette butts may be small, but when they’re left behind, they become part of a much bigger environmental problem.

Let’s make picking up after ourselves the trend that actually sticks. 🌱♻️

Every piece of litter left behind is a choice. Every piece picked up is a choice too. 🌍♻️

Change doesn't happen overnight, but it does begin with one decision, one action, and one person willing to care.

At our Clean & Learn, we came together to turn intention into action by collecting 24 kg of non-recyclable trash, including 3.5 kg of bags and 2100 cigarette butts, proving that when communities unite, real impact follows.

Here's the part that stopped us in our tracks: a single cigarette butt can contaminate up to 1000 litres of water. That means these 2100 butts alone helped protect over 2000000 litres of water from toxic pollution.

A big thank you to our incredible volunteers and our friends from Kolo for bringing such positive energy and commitment.

The Clean & Learn initiative is proudly funded by the European Solidarity Corps, helping empower communities to take action for a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Founded by MJ Algarra (), a Colombian-born environmentalist, diver and underwater photographer who started Clean This Beach Up in 2019 after finding her childhood beach in Colombia covered in debris. 🧭

Another cleanup, another step toward a cleaner future! 🌍♻️
