Our Story

For many years now, KPMG has been active in creating a positive societal impact. The KPMG Luxembourg Foundation was created in the Spring of 2009 with an initial capital sum of EUR 500,000 and represents a further step to increase efforts towards more sustainable and resilient communities.

Each of our projects encourages achieving progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. While these goals cover a range of issues, our main focus is on integrated development projects aiming at improving the life of the poorest communities, through the following focus areas:


  • SDG 13: Projects which promote mechanisms for raising capacity for effective climate change-related planning, management and mitigation.

  • SDG 12: Collectively ensuring progress towards targets promoting sustainable growth and development. Education projects supporting the minimization of the natural resources and toxic materials used, and the waste and pollutants generated, throughout the entire production and consumption process.
