GREEN RUN 2026 — SOLAR PEAK TRAIL: ANTRASIS ETAPAS ĮVEIKTAS

Antrasis GREEN RUN: SUMMER TRILOGY 2026 etapas – SOLAR PEAK TRAIL – sėkmingai įveiktas Žaliųjų ežerų kraštovaizdžio draustinyje, esančiame šiaurės rytinėje Vilniaus dalyje.

11,7 km maršrutas dar kartą atskleidė savo išskirtinį charakterį – kalvotus miško takus, ežerų pakrantes, dinamišką reljefą ir nuolat besikeičiantį bėgimo ritmą. Ši trasa reikalauja gebėjimo paskirstyti jėgas, prisitaikyti prie aplinkos ir mėgautis judėjimu gamtoje.

Šį kartą trasoje bėgome kartu su patyrusiais bėgikais Artūru Linga ir Donatu Cibulskiu. Jų dalyvavimas priminė, kad bendras bėgimas yra puiki galimybė dalintis patirtimi, mokytis iš pažengusių bėgikų, atrasti naujus maršrutus ir stiprinti nuoseklaus judėjimo kultūrą.

Galimybę mokytis iš patyrusių bėgikų – geriau suprasti tempo kontrolę ir jėgų paskirstymą sudėtingesnėse trasose – puikiai papildo vietiniai bėgikai, kurie dalijasi savo puikiu vietovės pažinimu. Jų žinios apie takus, reljefą ir maršrutus padeda šias erdves paversti gyvomis bendruomenės susitikimų vietomis.

SOLAR PEAK TRAIL tapo dar viena GREEN RUN patirtimi, kurioje gamta, judėjimas ir bendras tikslas subūrė skirtingus žmones į augančią bendruomenę.

Aerobinės ištvermės ugdymas, kalvoto trail reljefo įveikimas ir darnus grupinis bėgimas.

GREEN RUN 2026 — SOLAR PEAK TRAIL: SECOND STAGE COMPLETED

The second stage of GREEN RUN: SUMMER TRILOGY 2026 – SOLAR PEAK TRAIL – has been successfully completed in the Žalieji Ežerai (Green Lakes) Landscape Reserve located in the northeastern part of Vilnius, Lithuania.

The 11.7 km route once again revealed its unique character – hilly forest trails, lakeside paths, dynamic terrain and constantly changing running rhythm. This route requires the ability to manage effort, adapt to the surroundings, and enjoy movement in nature.

This time, we shared the trail with experienced runners Artūras Linga and Donatas Cibulskis. Their participation reminded us that running together is a valuable opportunity to share experience, learn from proficient runners, discover routes and build a culture of consistent movement.

The opportunity to run with and learn from seasoned runners—gaining insights into pace control and energy management on more demanding trails—is perfectly complemented by local runners who share their deep knowledge of the terrain, paths, and routes that become dynamic spaces for connecting our community.

SOLAR PEAK TRAIL became another GREEN RUN experience where nature, movement and a shared purpose brought different people together into a growing community.

Sėkmingai įgyvendinę pirmąjį GREEN RUN renginį, žengiame kitą žingsnį – tęsiame mūsų bendruomenės kūrimą.

Džiaugiamės galėdami pranešti, kad Birutė Striūkienė ir Algirdas Striūka – abu tarptautinius apdovanojimus pelnę patyrę bėgikai – maloniai sutiko būti šios iniciatyvos ambasadoriais. Jie dalyvavo mūsų pirmajame bėgime ir prisidėjo prie projekto plėtojimo nuo pat pradžių.

Birutė Striūkienė and Algirdas Striūka – Ambassadors of the GREEN RUN 2026 Pilot Project

Following the successful completion of our first GREEN RUN event, we are taking the next step to continue building our community.

We are delighted to announce that Birutė Striūkienė and Algirdas Striūka – both international award-winning veteran runners – have kindly agreed to be ambassadors of this initiative. They participated in our inaugural run and have contributed to the development of the project since the very beginning.

The experience, professionalism, and dedication to sport demonstrated by Birutė and Algirdas perfectly reflect the values upheld by GREEN RUN. This is confirmed by their achievements at this year's Istria 100 by UTMB ultra-trail running event, which took place across the Istrian peninsula in Croatia:

GREEN RUN 2026 — JONINĖS NIGHT TRAIL: PIRMASIS ETAPAS ĮVEIKTAS

Trumpiausia metų naktis Žaliųjų ežerų kraštovaizdžio draustinyje tapo puikia erdve GREEN RUN koncepcijos išpildymui. Pirmasis etapas – JONINĖS NIGHT TRAIL – parodė, kad bėgimo kultūra prasideda nuo pagarbos gamtai, tikslumo bei aiškios vizijos. Šviesus vasaros saulėgrįžos sutemų metas leido visiškai kitaip patirti unikalų šios saugomos teritorijos reljefą, kur kiekvienas įveiktas kilometras reikalavo susikaupimo, o kartu dovanojo gryną judėjimo estetiką.

Šis startas nubrėžia aiškią kokybės kartelę visai vasaros trilogijai, todėl jau dabar pradedame ruoštis antrajam susitikimui liepos mėnesį. Didelė garbė, kad mūsų bėgimo iniciatyvą palaikė ilgą istoriją turinčio Vilniaus bėgimo mėgėjų klubo „Inžinerija“ prezidentas Algirdas Striūka bei jo žmona Birutė Striūkienė. Jų dalyvavimas tapo GREEN TEAM branduoliu. Taip pat nuoširdžiai dėkoju už apgalvotą ir vertingą dovaną – Petro Pranckūno knygą „Bėgimo aistra“. Tegul ji tampa mūsų bendruomenės bėgimo dvasios simboliu.

GREEN RUN 2026 — JONINĖS NIGHT TRAIL: FIRST STAGE COMPLETED

The shortest night of the year in the Green Lakes Landscape Reserve became the perfect space for the ex*****on of the GREEN RUN concept. The first stage – JONINĖS NIGHT TRAIL – demonstrated that running culture begins with respect for nature, precision, and a clear vision. The luminous twilight of the summer solstice allowed for a completely different experience of the unique terrain, where every kilometer covered required focus while offering the pure aesthetic of movement.

This start sets a clear quality standard for the entire summer trilogy. It is a great honor that our running initiative was supported by the president of the long-standing Vilnius Amateur Running Club "Inžinerija", Algirdas Striūka, and his wife Birutė Striūkienė. Their participation became the core of the GREEN TEAM. I am also sincerely grateful for the thoughtful and valuable gift – Petras Pranckūnas' book "Bėgimo aistra".

OVERVIEW

GREEN RUN: SUMMER TRILOGY 2026

Green Run: Summer Trilogy is a three-stage summer running series set in natural landscapes.
Three seasonal runs from June to August form a continuous movement cycle through forest and lakeside terrain in Green Lakes Landscape Reserve:

– Night trail through forest and lakeside terrain
– Midsummer Green Lakes loop
– End-of-summer lakeside recovery run

Each run has a distinct distance, terrain rhythm, and seasonal atmosphere, while sharing a common idea of running together in nature.

All events are non-competitive, shared pace group runs with no timing.

This is a small-scale format where individual runners join shared group runs at a steady pace.
Open to runners who feel aligned with this format.

GUIDE

GREEN RUN is guided by a runner-facilitator with long-term experience in endurance running and community-based movement practices within the Green Lakes landscape.

The facilitator’s role is to participate in the run, support the group’s pace, shape the route experience, and ensure the smooth delivery of the event.
