👋 Greetings from Busan Metropolitan Library in from Ramune Petuchovaite, Manager of - PLIP! Ramune was at the library, which is also known as ‘Wisdom Ground’, to present a case study at a satellite meeting of the - WLIC 2026. The case study shows how public are successfully adapting resources that are freely available online to conduct & misinformation training for school students. The case study draws on the experience of the ‘Digital Learning @ Ghana Public Libraries’ project https://zurl.co/eGRjB, a partnership between EIFL & the Ghana Library Authority. It shows how the libraries are overcoming challenges like limited access to computers & the internet to create learning experiences using hands-on, interactive, game-based approaches. They adapted and tested resources created by the Center for an Informed Public at UW like ‘Mission Viral’, an offline escape-room game to help young people understand misinformation and deepfakes, and facilitators’ guides ‘Navigating the Truth: Understanding Misinformation’, and ‘Smart Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)’.
