Last week, SCCL attended the SCI (Swedish Chambers International) days in Stockholm, organized by Stockholms Handelskammare.

Bringing together more than 20 chambers from across the globe, the event was a powerful source of inspiration. SCCL was proud to share our own recent initiatives, including our Mentorship Program and our Business Resilience event. In return, we gained invaluable insights from both regional and international chambers through engaging workshops, networking and presentations on various topics.

As a member of Swedish Chambers International, we are part of a remarkable global network spanning over 35 Swedish Chambers and +5,000 member companies worldwide.

We return to Lithuania with a lot of exciting ideas to reflect on over the summer. Thank you, Stockholms Handelskammare, for hosting us, and thank you to all fellow chambers for the inspiring exchange. See you next year! 🌟

Today, Sweden celebrates its National Day — marking important milestones in the country's history, including the election of Gustav Vasa as King of Sweden in 1523 and the adoption of the Instruments of Government in 1809 and 1974.

It is an opportunity to celebrate Sweden’s democratic values, cultural heritage, and the strong international partnerships that connect us across borders.

And, of course, a perfect excuse to enjoy a cinnamon bun or two ☕️

We hosted the closing event for the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania's very first mentorship program at the Swedish Embassy, together with the Embassy of Sweden in Lithuania.

It was an evening filled with reflection, networking, and meaningful conversations. It was truly inspiring to hear mentors and mentees share their experiences from the program - how they developed, how they structured their meetings, and how mentors supported mentees in moving forward both personally and professionally.

Lynda Marouani, one of the mentees in the program, shared the following reflection on the mentorship program and her mentorship journey with her mentor, Darius Snieška:
"The conversations with my mentor helped me gain more confidence and a clearer idea of what I want to do in the future. I really enjoyed being part of this program, and I am very grateful for the opportunity. It has been an amazing experience that I will never forget."

We hope everyone left the program with valuable insights, new connections, and inspiration for the future.
A thank you to everyone who joined the closing event, and to all mentors and mentees for your commitment, engagement, and openness throughout the program. Your contributions made this first edition a great success.

We are excited to continue building this initiative and will share information this autumn on how to apply for the next round of the mentorship program.

He shares an impressive professional journey from early hands-on experience in the sector to leading a major transport organization, emphasizing that strong engineering fundamentals, continuous learning, and leadership are key to success in a rapidly evolving industry.

In the interview, he also highlights that while artificial intelligence is transforming many processes, transport engineering remains fundamentally human-driven and cannot be replaced by AI, as it relies on practical expertise, systems understanding, and real-world decision-making.
