26/04/2026

This Friday started differently—with music, movement, and purpose at a unique Morning Rave in the heart of Vilnius, organized by the Vilnius International Rotary Club.

On 24 April 2026, the Rotary community, their families, and friends came together to dance, connect, and recharge their morning before the workday began.

Set in an unexpected space, the atmosphere was filled with good vibes, coffee, croissants, and uplifting beats.

This special event also supported two meaningful Rotary projects, turning every step on the dance floor into a contribution for good.

No late nights, no fatigue—just a fresh, inspiring start to the day that brought the community closer together.

Catch a glimpse of the moments from the event.

Recalling great initiative by 11 Rotary and Rotaract clubs of Vilnius area who again this year supported the Santaros Children’s Hospital, Palliative Care department.

We donated two AIRcon Gen3 respiratory gas humidifiers — devices that warm and moisten the air delivered to patients who are breathing with medical support. This helps them breathe more comfortably and safely, and reduces dryness and irritation in the airways, especially in intensive care.

A hearth-felt thank you to Asanmeda, our supplier, for making this donation possible by offering the equipment at a special charitable price.

Yesterday our “United with Elderly” concert once again brought together a church full of people, music and a very special spirit of togetherness. We are deeply grateful to Vilnius St. Casimir Church for welcoming us and allowing this concert to take place for the fourth consecutive year.

Warm thanks to everyone who came, and especially to those who helped their seniors arrive and enjoy the afternoon. Our heartfelt gratitude to the musicians who made the concert so beautiful:
Eglė Stundžiaitė - Bešėnienė and Eimantas Bešėnas (vocals),
choir “United Voices” with conductor Monika Švilpaitė,
pianist Saulius Sakas,
and organist Renata Marcinkute Lesieur.

A very special thank you to our Sister Rotarians Renata Marcinkutė-Lesieur and Ulrike Jansen for leading and embodying the true spirit of the project, and to all brothers and sisters who helped – with organisation, time and financial contributions that made it possible to cover the concert budget: Laura Aldone, Dainius Sabaliauskas, Gerda Leitaitė Vanagė, Inga Baranovskaja, Simon Strande Rasmussen, Naglis Nasvytis, Saulius Eiva, Darius Kvedaras, Edita Katinaitė, Marius Grigelionis and many others who came and donated

Thank you for being part of this tradition and for standing united with our elderly.

Our club members and guests had a wonderful musical evening yesterday at “Naujoji opera”, together with opera soloist Jonas Sakalauskas and pianist Darius Mažintas. We enjoyed a special chamber music programme starting with Chopin and ending with Gershwin. Wonderful music, and enchanting atmosphere.
We also had the honour to welcome our Rotarian brothers from LITUA Rotary Club

At our recent club meeting on 18 September, we had the honor of welcoming Dr. Martynas Marcinkevičius, psychiatrist and Director of the Vilnius City Mental Health Center. Dr. Marcinkevičius has dedicated over two decades to improving mental health in Lithuania and has personally carried out 25 humanitarian missions to Ukraine since 2015, providing both professional training and vital medical aid.

In his presentation “Mental Health in the Face of Crises”, Dr. Marcinkevičius highlighted:

- How prosperity often comes at the cost of our spiritual and emotional health, especially among children and youth.
- The growing challenges of depression, anxiety, insomnia, social media overuse, and synthetic drugs.
- Why global shocks such as COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine affect us so deeply – by undermining our fundamental sense of safety.
- Practical advice for resilience: balanced daily rhythms (sleep, work, rest), face-to-face connection, limiting harmful information, choosing joyful physical activity, meditation in a broad sense, and not being afraid to ask for help.
- Insights from his missions in Ukraine – from training mental health professionals, to delivering aid worth over €100,000, to learning from Ukrainian doctors working under war conditions.

His message was clear: true resilience comes from community, connection, and service – values that deeply resonate with Rotary’s “Service Above Self.”

We were also delighted to be joined by Bronius Kazėnas from the Fishhawk Rotary Club, Florida, USA.
