Youth E(ducation) P(articipation) I(nitiatives) Center is an non-for-profit organization established by young people in order to work with young people and to support each other in coping with the challenges that the fast changing world gives to us. The organization was established in order to work in 3 main fields:
The education division is aiming to promote non-formal learning, to contribute to
the lifelong learning strategy and to provide young people with the opportunities to develop their competences outside of the formal education system. Another aim of the education division is to promote intercultural learning as it is becoming more important due to the migration tendencies in Europe. Emphasis is also put on human rights education, which is a key to a culture where human rights are understood, respected and defended. The participation part of the organization is aiming to strengthen the civil society, to promote democratic and civic values and principles. Encouraging citizens’ active and conscious participation in public activities, as well as the exercise of their civic liberties and rights can do this. The third part of the organization - initiatives - aims at encouraging youth initiatives and active participation. We are aiming to share our experience and support other young people in finding their ways to participation as well as organizing and taking part in various local and international projects.
