BMI Alumni Executive Club

BMI Alumni Executive Club BMI Alumni Network The alumni and students of BMI now represent half or more of all big corporations in Lithuania. Get connected!

Top level managers from the most successful local and international companies converge here. The knowledge and contacts acquired at BMI are very valuable. The Association also helps alumni to extend and

further develop the ideals and the friendships they formed during studies at BMI. It creates opportunities for interaction and communication. We sincerely and enthusiastically invite you to join us.

🎉 BMI Alumni Gala 2026 – celebrating excellence, impact, and community

This year, the BMI Alumni Executive Club welcomed the BMI alumni community to Sapieha Palace in Vilnius for an evening of recognition, connection, and a touch of well-placed intrigue.

Among string music, conversations, and carefully observed society rumours, the Gala once again became more than an annual gathering. It was a night to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new members, celebrate achievements, and create stories that will surely continue long after the evening itself.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to our long-term partners for their continued support in making this tradition possible: People Link, Marsh Global, Volfas Engelman Nealkoholinis, DELFI.lt, and our patrons Audrius Milukas, Marius Svidinskas and Paulius Grigas.

👏 We thank Rytis Valunas, President of the BMI Alumni Executive Club, and Mantas Marčiulaitis, Chairman of the Club's Council, for opening the official part of the Gala and welcoming the community.

🎙️ We are also grateful to Jurga Bendikaite Ursavas, Director General of BMI Executive Institute, for representing the Institute and reflecting on the continued growth of the BMI community.

💡 Beyond the keynote: an exclusive BMI Alumni meet-up with Jesper Brodin

At Vadovų konferencija EBIT 2026, Jesper Brodin, former CEO of IKEA and current Board Member of Ingka Group | IKEA, will share insights on IKEA’s culture, unwritten rules, people-centred leadership, digital and omni-channel transformation, and sustainability as a strategic priority.

📌 For BMI Alumni, the conversation will continue beyond the keynote in a private lunchtime meet-up with Jesper, created exclusively for members of the BMI Alumni Executive Club.

The meet-up will be moderated by Mantas Marčiulaitis, Chairman of the Council at BMI Alumni Executive Club.

When BMI Alumni meet, things get… interesting.

Sometimes it sounds less like a board meeting and more like someone ordering a gelato blueberry ale at an executive retreat. 🍇

But that’s exactly how good collaborations begin.

For Vadovų konferencija EBIT 2026, BMI Alumni Executive Club joined forces with Volfas Engelman Nealkoholinis and its CEO, Marius Horbačauskas, alumnus of the BMI Executive Institute International Executive MBA, to create something that reflects the spirit of the alumni community: bold ideas, curiosity, and conversations that don’t happen anywhere else.

The result is Gelato Blueberry Ale – a limited-edition non-alcoholic craft beer inspired by one of the fastest-growing trends in the craft beverage world.

As Marius Horbačauskas describes it, the beer is “closer to a summer cocktail – light, aromatic, and easy to enjoy.” And honestly, that might also describe the best alumni conversations.

🫐 Fruity, smooth, refreshing
🌿 Authentic forest berry aroma from natural blueberry purée
🍦 Creamy gelato-like finish thanks to barley, wheat, and oat malt
🔴 A striking reddish-blue color impossible to ignore

Only 350 bottles will be produced – and the only place to discover Gelato Blueberry Ale will be at the BMI Alumni Executive Lounge during EBIT 2026.

Even better, BMI Alumni members have access to a dedicated EBIT package and special pricing created exclusively for the alumni community.
Because some collaborations deserve a very limited audience first.

A look back at the anniversary gathering. 🏀

Together with alumni of BMI Executive Institute - Paulius Motiejūnas, Martynas Giga, and Rytis Valunas - we looked beyond basketball: into leadership, governance, ownership, pressure, and the systems that make success sustainable.

Thank you once again for joining us - and stay tuned for updates!

🏀 What really hides behind the wins? Paulius Motiejunas and Martynas Giga reveal the leadership behind Žalgiris and Rytas

Our special 1-year anniversary edition of brought together a record-breaking audience for a discussion on basketball, governance, ownership, and leadership under pressure.

Together with Paulius Motiejunas, Director of Žalgiris Group, principal shareholder of BC Žalgiris Kaunas, former CEO of EuroLeague Basketball, BMI EMBA alumnus, and Martynas Giga, CEO of BC RYTAS, Vilnius, board member, BMI EMBA alumnus, we looked behind the visible side of Lithuanian basketball.

The discussion was moderated by Rytis Valunas, Board Member at BMI Executive Institute and President of the BMI Alumni Executive Club.

Key takeaways:
🟠 Winning starts before the game
Budgets, player decisions, sponsors, fan experience, infrastructure, and brand work shape the result long before tip-off.
🟠 Pressure changes the narrative fast
One win can lift the room. One loss can shift the mood. Leadership needs consistency when emotions move quickly.
🟠 Fans can help win the game
Their energy can lift the team in decisive moments, while their trust and expectations make fan engagement a real leadership priority.
🟠 A strong team needs a stronger system
Players and coaches are visible. Sustainable success depends on owners, management, partners, city institutions, staff, and the wider ecosystem.
🟠 Legacy raises the standard
Club history, city identity, and tradition strengthen the brand, but they also raise expectations for every decision.

A special symbol now remains at the BMI office: the ball signed by Paulius Motiejūnas, Martynas Giga, and Rytis Valūnas, presented to BMI Executive Institute on behalf of the BMI Alumni Executive Club Council – a reminder of this anniversary evening and the community behind the initiative. 🏀

Warmest thanks go to Rytis Valunas, Mantas Marčiulaitis, and the whole BMI Alumni Council – for their continued contribution to this community, as well as to Jurga Bendikaite Ursavas, Diana Aleksandravičienė (Česonytė, Mantas Dubauskas, Monika Lašienė, Karilė Klug and everyone who helped make the first year of BMI Board Network meaningful.

🥂 A special BMI Alumni collaboration with Volfas Engelman Nealkoholinis is brewing for EBIT 2026!

Last week, representatives of the BMI Alumni Executive Club visited the Volfas Engelman brewery, where they met the brewery team and Marius Horbačauskas, BMI EMBA alumnus and CEO of the company.

Together with the BMI Alumni Executive Club, Volfas Engelman is crafting a non-alcoholic beer created exclusively for Vadovų konferencija EBIT 2026. Because apparently networking pairs exceptionally well with good brewing.

As Mantas Marčiulaitis, Chairman of the Council at BMI Alumni Executive Club, reflected:

“Beer and alumni may share a common root, but the idea here is not student revelry – it is shared creation. Graduates of BMI Executive Institute are united by curiosity for new experiences. A joint creation by professional brewers and professional leaders is, at the very least, a fascinating endeavour. And the result? Splendid – the Alumni Club Council members confirmed that themselves while tasting it straight from the barrel.”

More details are coming soon. Spoiler alert: the collaboration tastes as good as it sounds.

And that’s not all for BMI Alumni at EBIT 2026:
✔️ Preferred alumni pricing
✔️ BMI Alumni Lounge
✔️ Private meet-up with keynote speaker Jesper Brodin (available exclusively for BMI Alumni Executive Club members with active 2026 membership)
✔️ Additional exclusive experiences during the conference
