As IWAV, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who made the 23rd International Christmas Charity Bazaar such a meaningful success. Thanks to the generosity of our visitors, sponsors and partners, we proudly raised nearly €110,000, which has now been announced and distributed to 12 Lithuanian organisations supporting children, women, seniors and socially vulnerable communities. Because the donations exceeded our original pledge, we were also able to extend our support to two organisations from our waiting list, allowing our impact to reach even further than anticipated. The closing ceremony, graciously hosted by H.E. Ambassador of India to Lithuania, Mr. Devesh Uttam, and Mrs. Ruchi Uttam at the Embassy of India, brought together our beneficiaries, representatives of the diplomatic and business communities, and dear friends who have supported this mission throughout the year.
The event began with opening remarks by H.E. Ambassador Devesh Uttam, reflecting on the values of solidarity, compassion and shared responsibility that lie at the heart of the Christmas Bazaar, followed by cultural performances and traditional dances that added warmth and joy to the morning. We were honoured by the presence of Francesca Sforza de Maigret, ICCB Chair and spouse of the Italian Ambassador, alongside IWAV members and partners who have walked this long journey with us. Moments like these remind us that the Christmas Bazaar is not just a single day, but a year-long collective effort driven by trust, empathy and a shared belief that together, we can create lasting impact.
