🤖 AI can help you build faster. But do you know how to use it safely?

PMI Lithuania and SMK invite students and project professionals to our September Bootcamp to talk about how to use AI and stay on the safe side.

We use AI to research, write, analyze, plan, automate, and make decisions every day.
But there are questions we don't always stop to ask:

What information are we giving AI?
Can we trust its answers?
What happens when AI gets access to our files and systems?
And who is responsible when something goes wrong?

This event is for students, project professionals, and anyone already working, using or experimenting with AI.

🍂 September is coming - and so is a new business season.

Meet the PMI Lithuania crew who will help navigate our chapter through the months ahead.

Our Board members and volunteers bring different backgrounds, skills, industries, and perspectives, but we share one goal: to build a stronger project management community in the Baltics.

Together, we’ll be working on events, Coffee Talks, partnerships, professional development, community initiatives, and new opportunities to connect and learn from each other.

And we want our community to be part of where we go next. M.O.R.E. Together.

Have a question for our team?
Have a topic you would like us to cover at an upcoming event or online?

Everyone wrote about Business Environment growing from 8% to 26%. It now carries a quarter of the exam.

What exactly changed - we break it down in this carousel.

💙 Meet the Team: Marlena

For the past several years, Marlena has been an important part of the PMI Lithuania volunteer team. As a PMP®-certified Project Manager, she has supported our events, newsletters, and the growth of the project management community in Lithuania.

Here's her story:
"Throughout my career, I've heard many misconceptions about project management: that it's just bureaucracy, scheduling, or simply another name for operational work.

To me, being a project manager is one of the most challenging and rewarding professions. At its core, it's about people, while also requiring a deep understanding of business and processes.

Project managers need a broad range of skills—from strategic thinking and stakeholder management to problem-solving and conflict resolution. I often compare the role to being the CEO of a temporary organization: bringing people together around a common goal, navigating uncertainty, and delivering meaningful results within a limited timeframe.

I wish more business leaders and colleagues could see project management from this perspective. That's why I'm grateful to be part of a strong international community that promotes the true value of our profession. I'm proud to support project managers in Lithuania as a volunteer with the PMI Lithuania Chapter.

Volunteering with PMI gives me the opportunity to contribute to our professional community, learn from fellow project managers, and help strengthen the recognition of project management in Lithuania."

💙 Thank you, Marlena, for your dedication, experience, and continued support of our chapter.

Together We Can M.O.R.E.

💙 Please join us in welcoming our new PMI Lithuania volunteer, Fatma, to the team!

A Researcher and IPM (MA), Fatma brings both professional knowledge and a passion for building communities.

Here's what volunteering means to her:
"Volunteering has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It is not just something I do, it is how I connect, learn, and give back. Every project, every team, and every community reminds me that even small contributions can create lasting impact."

We're especially excited to have Fatma support the development of the PMI Lithuania Students Club. We look forward to many new ideas, collaborations, and activities in the upcoming business season.

💙 Welcome to the team, Fatma!

The PMP exam changed three weeks ago. Many candidates are still preparing against the 2021 ECO.

I put together what is usually spread across dozens of articles: why the ECO is updated at all, what changed in the weights and tasks, what stayed the same, and what to do if your preparation has already started.

One fact worth pulling out: Business Environment did not grow because of new material. Governance, change control, and risk management moved there from Process. The topics were always on the exam — what changed is the logic they are tested under.

If your exam is this autumn: which ECO are your materials based on?
