SAWA HOUSE Foundation Our foundation helps all people affected by the Lukashenka regime and by the war in Ukraine And they always did it after work, until late night.

The founders of SAWA HOUSE Foundation, before they were repressed and fled Belarus, were engaged in helping the victims of Lukashenko’s regime. Because of this they jokingly called each other “owl” (or “sawa” in Belarusian). Today the mission of our Foundation is to become a House of such Owls (or Sawa House) for all those who suffered or had to leave Belarus or Ukraine because of the threat of imprisonment or war. We help women and children in many different ways.

The founders of SAWA HOUSE Foundation, before they were repressed and fled Belarus, were engaged in helping the victims of Lukashenko’s regime. And they always did it after work, until late night. Because of this they jokingly called each other “owl” (or “sawa” in Belarusian).
