U-Hearts Foundation

U-Hearts Foundation Creating a coworld of pets and humans for generations to come.

🤞🏻 Since March 2022, we have provided over 2,000,000 kg of pet food, rescued around 300,000 pets, and supported volunteers and shelters across Ukraine.

▫️ We bring together people’s compassion and partners’ resources to make kindness not chaotic, but systematic.
▫️ We research the state of pet shelters and promote adoption.
▫️ We attract international support and partnerships.
◽️ We provide pet

shelters with resources and support their operational development.
◽️ We take part in Europe’s pet events to raise awareness of supporting pets in Ukraine. At U-Hearts, we believe the world would be a better place if people and pets lived together with responsibility, trust and care — not out of pity, but as equal co-inhabitants of this planet.

A heartfelt thank-you from Ukraine’s pets 💘

The support arrived back in winter, and it continues to make a real difference for animals in need today. Thanks to the generous donation from Lily's Kitchen, hundreds of cats and dogs in shelters across Ukraine are still receiving nutritious meals months later.

Over the past few months, we have distributed the food to animal shelters and rescue teams in different regions of the country, helping them care for pets affected by the war. This assistance not only improves the pets’ daily lives but also provides much-needed relief to the people looking after them.

We are incredibly grateful to Lily's Kitchen for their ongoing kindness and commitment to supporting Ukrainian animals. Your help has a lasting impact, and we truly appreciate it 🐾🤍

Supporting volunteers and shelters in regions closer to the front line is always a priority for us when providing aid.

Despite constant shelling and dangerous conditions, volunteers continue their work — caring for animals, treating them, and helping them find new families.

We are deeply grateful to all our partners whose ongoing support allows us to help those who need it most — and to share in the joy of seeing these happy little noses.

Battersea is one of the world’s oldest and most recognised animal shelters, caring for dogs and cats since 1860 in London, UK. For more than 165 years, Battersea has helped millions of animals find safety, care and new homes — while also shaping global approaches to animal welfare. Battersea Academy was set up in 2018 as a way of sharing knowledge and expertise, and offering networking and skills development opportunities to other shelters and rehoming organisations.

As part of the forum programme, Kirsty Ronkainen will join «Zoosvidomi» with a special recorded contribution, sharing how building effective relationships and partnerships between animal welfare organisations creates supportive communities that can positively impact the welfare of dogs and cats.

«Zoosvidomi» is an annual Ukrainian forum bringing together NGOs, shelters, businesses, media, public institutions and international partners to shape sustainable solutions for animal welfare in Ukraine.

This is where all the aid from our partners is stored, and where Oleh, who takes care of the warehouse, puts together tonnes of essential supplies for pets across Ukraine.

Next, we collect requests from volunteers and shelters, sort and distribute donations — food, treats, toys, medicine, parasite prevention, and care products — and send support to the pets who need it most 🤍

In March, over 1000 calming collars from were delivered to shelters and volunteers in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, Dnipro, Lviv, Mykolaiv regions in Ukraine.

Calming products are critically important for animals in shelters, as they help them cope with extreme stress caused by changes in environment, noise, and lack of attention. They reduce anxiety and fear, and help correct behavior—something especially important for animals adapting after experiencing poor conditions or stress from shelling.

We thank our friends at for supporting pets in Ukraine 🤍
