We are currently planning a youth event in Brixen/South Tyrol in early May 2026, where you as the IATA YOUTH group will come together for the first time, plan the future of IATA YOUTH together and work on a joint project.

And so it was time to say goodbye again...Thank you to all the organizers and participants! The first NEATA festival for youth is over for this time, but we are hoping it will become a reoccurring tradition. The next event festival is planned to take place in Estonia 2026 and the next NEATA festival for youth will be arranged in 2027.

Let us introduce NEATA:s new General Secretary Hanne-Kjersti Skjevelnes Iversen

Hanne-Kjersti got the job as general secretary of the organization Norsk Amatørteaterforbund (NATF) in Norway November 1st 2023. She finds the work very exiting and enjoys the collaborative possibilities that lies in the field of amateur theatre. Hanne-Kjersti has a background as a member of a youth amateur theatre group from her upbringing in the north of Norway. Today Hanne-Kjersti lives in Lillehammer, Norway, which has been home for the last 14 years.

“Amateur theater was the platform that helped me find who I was as a teen and see my potential. It helped me climb out of my shell and reach for the dreams I had then and the dreams that came later as I grew up”.
