WBBF WORLD PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 — THE HISTORY CONTINUES.
The WBBF World Professional Championship is much more than a competition. It is a history of champions, countries, generations and athletes who have left their mark on professional bodybuilding.
For more than two decades, the world’s strongest athletes have competed for the prestigious WBBF professional title. Champions from Russia, Brazil, Iran, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, Argentina, South Africa, India and many other countries have stood on the highest step of the podium.
The history of the championship clearly shows how the balance of power in professional bodybuilding has changed over the years.
Russia was particularly dominant during the early period of the championship. Later, Brazil and Iran produced powerful champions, while Finland, Poland, Slovakia and other European countries established themselves among the leading nations.
Women’s professional bodybuilding has also created remarkable champions. Hanna Kristina Skytta of Finland achieved an exceptional run of five consecutive titles from 2018 to 2022. Brazil, Russia and other nations have also produced multiple champions who became part of WBBF history.
And Lithuania has its own important place in this story.
Lithuanian athletes have already achieved major victories on the international professional stage, and recent champions such as Vilma Povilioniene and Svetlana Pugacheva have once again placed Lithuania in the spotlight.
On the men’s side, the championship has seen champions from several generations and continents. Among the most recent names is Maros Kanasz of Slovakia, who captured the world professional title in 2023 and again in 2025.
Now the story moves to Nida.
From October 24–26, 2026, Lithuania will host the WBBF World Professional Championship in the spectacular seaside town of Nida.
This will not simply be another championship.
It will be another chapter in a history that has been written by hundreds of elite athletes from around the world.
Who will rise to the top in 2026?
Which country will produce the next world champion?
And will Lithuania once again have athletes standing at the very top of the podium?
NIDA 2026 — THE WORLD PROFESSIONAL STAGE IS COMING TO LITHUANIA.
