Last week, Klaipėda became the center of maritime spirit and youth engagement as the national student competition “Jūrų Keliais 2026”, organized by Lietuvos jūreivystės akademija /Lithuanian Maritime Academy/, brought together nearly 300 students from across Lithuania. ⚓

For decades, this competition has introduced young people to the maritime world, encouraging interest in careers at sea and within the wider maritime industry. Over two dynamic days, participants tested their skills through practical challenges, teamwork activities, and real-life maritime tasks.

As social partners of the initiative, OJ Crew and the Lietuvos jūrininkų sąjunga /Lithuanian Seafarers’ Union/ are proud to support projects that inspire and educate the next generation of maritime professionals.

First LNG bunkering at Klaipėda Container Terminal - a milestone for the Klaipėdos uostas / Port of Klaipeda. TT-Line's ferry Nils Holgersson was replenished with 17 tons of liquefied natural gas in just 1.5 hours. Operations like this strengthen the port's competitiveness and signal its commitment to greener shipping in line with the Green Deal.

As LNG-powered vessels become more common in the Baltic, the need for qualified seafarers with IGF training continues to grow.

📣Gerbiami jūrininkai⚓
🆕Šiuo metu Lietuvos jūrininkų sąjunga ir Lietuvos jūrininkų įdarbinimo įmonių asociacija inicijuoja dirbančių jūrininkų apklausą internetu, siekiant išsiaiškinti jų nuomonę apie siūlomus apmokestinimo sistemos pokyčius.‼️

🔎2024–2025 m. Lietuvos jūrininkų sąjunga kartu su Lietuvos jūrininkų įdarbinimo įmonių asociacija ir socialiniais partneriais parengė Lietuvos jūrininkų apmokestinimo sistemos studiją ir pateikė alternatyvių jūrininkų apmokestinimo modelių projektų. Pagrindinis studijos tikslas – numatyti galimybes, suteikiančias socialines garantijas visiems jūrininkams, kitaip nei galiojanti sistema.

☑️Apmokestinimo sistemos modelių projektai 2025 m. pabaigoje jau buvo pristatyti jūrininkų profesinėms organizacijoms ir darbdaviams, tačiau itin svarbi kuo platesnės jūrininkų bendruomenės nuomonė, nes tik atsižvelgus į visų dalyvių – jūrininkų, darbdavių ir valstybės – interesus jūrininkų apmokestinimo sistemos pakeitimai bus sėkmingai įgyvendinti. 📣Kviečiame dirbančius jūrininkus dalyvauti apklausoje, paspaudžiant šią nuorodą:

❗Jūroje nedirbančius kviečiame pasidalinti šia nuoroda su pažįstamais jūrininkais.🫶
