Our weekly football training with the kids from “Vaikų namai” in the Trakai region is always a highlight.
Around 10 amazing kids join us for a 1.5-hour session led by Aymen from Geležinis Vilkas and me, Valdas. Even though the trip takes about an hour, it’s always worth it.
We already see their teamwork and confidence growing — and it makes me truly happy.
Thank you for the chance to spend this time with these wonderful kids.
Can’t wait for next week! 💛⚽️✨

Mūsų savaitinės futbolo treniruotės su Trakų regiono „Vaikų namų“ vaikais – tikras džiaugsmas.
Apie 10 nuostabių vaikų prisijungia į 1,5 val. treniruotę, kurią vedame kartu su Aymen iš „Geležinis Vilkas“ ir aš, Valdas. Nors kelionė trunka apie valandą, ji visada verta.
Jau matome, kaip auga jų komandiškumas ir pasitikėjimas savimi – tai labai džiugina.
Ačiū už galimybę leisti laiką su šiais nuostabiais vaikais.

Gratitude from Lithuania to Italy 🇮🇹🤝🇱🇹

We are incredibly thankful for the generous support received from the Italian football community! ⚽❤️

Thanks to the Italian Football Federation and its regional branch LND Sicily, as well as the Municipality of Ficarra and the local Ficarra Community, our organization Hope for the Football has received valuable football gear and uniforms.

💚 The green training bags were kindly provided by the Municipality of Ficarra.
📦 The delivery and coordination were supported by the amazing Ficarra Community.
👕 The national team uniforms are meant for training and will be given to the children who are truly committed and regularly attend our activities.

This support means the world to us — it’s not just about the uniforms, but the message that hard work and dedication are always recognized.

Last Day in Ficarra 🇮🇹⚽ – Saying Goodbye is Never Easy

Our time in Italy is coming to an end, and today was filled with so many emotions. Tomorrow is departure day, and the goodbyes have already started. Some tears, lots of hugs, and plenty of «I don’t want to leave Italy» moments. It’s hard to say goodbye when you’ve found a second family here. ❤️

Today’s adventures:

We spent our final morning with Colonia Marina, enjoying the sea one last time. The local kids gave us thoughtful gifts – T-shirts, hats, and backpacks – to remember them by. 🌊👕🎒

In the afternoon, we relaxed at Agriturismo Fattoria di Grenne, an amazing place where we swam in the pool, shared stories, and enjoyed delicious traditional Sicilian food together with our host families and local friends. 🍝🍋☀️

To end the day, our participants shared small gifts with their hosting families – but the real gift was the warm hugs and the connections we’ve made over these unforgettable days. 🤗🎁

Thank you, Ficarra! We leave with full hearts and lifelong memories.

Paskutinė diena Ficarroje 🇮🇹⚽ – Atsisveikinti visada sunku

Mūsų laikas Italijoje eina į pabaigą, ir šiandien buvo kupina emocijų diena. Rytoj – išvykimo diena, o atsisveikinimai jau prasidėjo. Šiek tiek ašarų, daug apkabinimų ir nemažai „Nenoriu išvykti iš Italijos“ akimirkų. Sunku atsisveikinti, kai čia radai antrąją šeimą. ❤️Šiandienos nuotykiai:

Paskutinį rytą praleidome su „Colonia Marina“, paskutinį kartą mėgaudamiesi jūra. Vietiniai vaikai padovanojo mums dovanų – marškinėlių, kepuraičių ir kuprinių – kad prisimintume šias akimirkas. 🌊👕🎒Popietę leidome „Agriturismo Fattoria di Grenne“, nuostabioje vietoje, kur maudėmės baseine, dalijomės istorijomis ir mėgavomės skaniu tradiciniu Sicilijos maistu kartu su šeimomis, pas kurias gyvenome, ir vietiniais draugais. 🍝🍋☀️
