Yesterday, the UK Ambassador, H.E. Liz Boyles, hosted an Afternoon Tea at the Residence to thank the Blossom of Hope community. Supporters, partners, and friends gathered for an afternoon shaped by reflection, connection, and shared purpose — a moment to pause and acknowledge how much can be achieved when people come together with care and commitment.
During her remarks, Ambassador Boyles spoke about what an honour it had been to serve as the Goodwill Ambassador for Blossom of Hope 2025. She highlighted the importance of using visible roles to encourage early testing, participation, and support, reminding everyone how vital it is to raise awareness even before symptoms appear. She warmly thanked the community for their trust, energy, and shared responsibility, and invited guests to continue the conversation together, beyond the walls of the Residence.
Another Goodwill Ambassador, Dr. Rūta Briedienė, spoke about the progress achieved through screening and awareness, noting how participation has steadily increased over the years. She emphasized that charity is not only about funding, but about dignity, understanding, and care — especially for women who may not otherwise have access to timely information or diagnosis. Her words were a powerful reminder that every small action contributes to lasting change.
Among the guests, Dr. Alvydas Česas of Klaipėda University Hospital shared his perspective as a medical oncologist, underlining that awareness and early detection save not only women’s lives, but entire families. He stressed the importance of shifting focus toward early-stage detection, where treatment can be less invasive and outcomes far more hopeful — and thanked the community for helping make that shift possible.
A long-standing supporter of Blossom of Hope, Edita Raginienė from NIVEA spoke about why the partnership matters so deeply to their organisation and employees alike, highlighting the importance of prevention, consistency, and hands-on involvement in spreading the message. Her remarks reflected the value of long-term partnerships built on shared values and genuine care.
Members of the Blossom of Hope Committee shared highlights from a successful year, reflecting on the growth of the initiative, its expanding impact, and the collective effort behind every milestone. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to all supporters, volunteers, partners, and advocates whose belief in the mission continues to turn ideas into action.
The afternoon was gently accompanied by a violin performance from Paulina Daukšytė, followed by conversations over traditional British tea and scones, creating a warm winter wonderland atmosphere — one filled with appreciation, quiet strength, and hope.
We are deeply grateful to Ambassador Liz Boyles for her generosity, leadership, and continued support throughout the year.
Our sincere thanks also go to Mida Babilienė, whose dedication, care, and behind-the-scenes support have been invaluable to the success of Blossom of Hope this year.
Above all, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to every supporter who stands with Blossom of Hope — your involvement, belief, and compassion truly make a difference.
