What happens when six countries, thirty-six young people, and the power of movement come together?

We’re excited to officially kick off EduKiz, an Erasmus+ initiative hosted by VšĮ "Apglėbk pasaulį" right here in Kaunas!

Instead of relying on standard seminars, EduKiz utilizes movement therapy, body expression, and Kizomba basics to help youth build real emotional resilience, overcome post-pandemic anxiety, and connect beyond language barriers.

• Sept 2 - 5 | Advance Planning Visit: Leaders will meet in Prienai to adapt workshops and ensure everything is fully accessible and safe.

• Sept 20 - 29 | The Main Exchange: Eight days of intensive movement sessions, intercultural workshops, and intergenerational community activities.

The Real-World Impact:

Over half of our participants are young people facing social, economic, or geographic challenges. In addition to the personal growth during the project, we will publish an open-access EduKiz Resource Pack for youth workers across Europe. Our teams will also conduct six local workshops back home to share the skills with over one hundred more peers.

One month, endless momentum, and a project that’s just getting started!

Our time hosting Mihaela through the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) program has officially come to an end - and what an unforgettable four weeks it has been! As first-time hosts, stepping into the mentorship role was a brand - new adventure for us. A single month flies by in the blink of an eye, but the foundation we laid during this exchange is significant. While Mihaela's official exchange period is wrapping up, the work we started together is far from finished!

Highlights from our month together:

Strategic Brainstorming: We designed and prepared a large community survey - the centerpiece project of the exchange that required serious strategy and teamwork.

Community Action: Mihaela successfully organized five events at Solo Society and connected with our broader local network, including the team at Let's Talk Kaunas.

Knowledge Exchange: We explored the ins and outs of running an NGO, navigated the Erasmus+ funding frameworks, and even rolled up our sleeves for some hands-on work.

Local Integration: From day one, we built on professional collaboration and building projects that last long after the exchange ends! 🌍✨

I would like to introduce a participant in our Erasmus Young Entrepreneurs program. For those seeking an English-speaking psychologist, this is an excellent opportunity.

I am Mihaela, I am from Greece and I am a psychologist and group psychotherapist.

I will be in Kaunas and work with Alex and Apglėbk Pasaulį for the next 4 weeks.

One more experience is finished, plenty of memories made, new knowledge gained, friendships and partnerships were created, old friends visited, concept of Jimmy in mind always from now on.

Everything due to this training in Bucharest, hosted by The Youth by FNT Fundația Națională pentru Tineret and beautiful trainers Carmen and Andra. From 19-25 of July we took part in this training to find out more about Eryica, about Jimmy, how to do our work better in youth consulting and informing.

Came back tired, of no sleep which proves that the group was great, Jimmy in the bavk of the head proving that the workshops were meaningful to my job, and contacts exchange proving that participants were professionals in their field and that we can work together.
