Thanks to everyone who came out for our Open Mic Artivism event on Saturday! It was wonderful to see old friends, longtime supporters, past and present Hub participants and facilitators, and Hub alumni who have gone on to do great things! It was also beautiful to witness full-circle moments such as this reunion on stage! More pictures of the day to follow soon!

Our team has been testing out a course we have in development on the basics of Media and Information Literacy (MIL).

MIL is more important now than ever as misinformation and disinformation, including AI-generated content, increasingly influence people’s everyday lives, shape public opinion, and deepen social division.

Congratulations to the winners of the egg project organised by our intern, Mpinane Motumi, where participants spent two weeks taking care of their eggs, learning responsibility and the importance of caring for something fragile. Teboho Moshabesha and Tšeliso Fanana came out as the winners after working together and sharing duties throughout the project. They received copies of “Lekoropele le Thabo” book by Thato Lekatsa!
