The bulk of what we do comes down to the use of three machines that transform plastic through a process of shredding and heating, thereby creating beautiful and useful products out of discarded plastic. Our mission is to create a greener Lesotho through plastic recycling.

- Provide sustainable plastic waste management options for households and businesses. VISION
In addition to being a regional recycling centre, we aim to provide an economic boost to the community of Morija and surrounding villages. Though we are starting small, our aim is to increase our production capacity to create employment for local people – both through the collection of plastic, and as part of our production staff. An essential part of our vision is the establishment of an on-going recycling outreach program (“Plastic Reach”) to be introduced in schools and community centers around the country. The aim of these sessions will be to raise awareness for environmentalism and also to encourage every-day climate activism that centers on taking action to improve our communities. By adding value to plastic, we aim to change the way it is regarded in our society so that it is collected instead of disposed of. Plastic can then be delivered to our premises in exchange for credit, tokens or vouchers.

This week, Ambassador Mette Sunnergren hosted an inspiring celebratory lunch for Mokhali F. Shale, newly selected as one of only 25 global leaders for the 2026-2028 Global alongside & local members, Mpho Lebesa and Limpho Thoahlane.

We were honoured to be joined by Principal Secretary for Ministry of Gender and Youth, Sports and Recreation, Mahlapane Makakole-Bodiba; UNICEF Lesotho Deputy Representative Bob Muchabaiwa, and Iom Lesotho Representative Masoai Dennis.

Mokhali's journey is rooted in his work with the Lesotho , our dedicated local platform in where we partner with UNICEF Lesotho and Iom Lesotho. It is here that young changemakers organise, collaborate, and favour bold new ideas, creating a vital pipeline between grassroots action and high-level international policy.
