Trust for Africa

Trust for Africa Trust for Africa protects children, restores and strengthens families and equips communities to do the same. Lesotho is often called “The Forgotten Kingdom”.

Helping children in Lesotho feel safe, seen, and supported so they can live without fear of the future. In this mountainous country, 50% of the children are orphaned and/or vulnerable. Much of this is due to HIV and AIDS, as Lesotho has the third highest HIV infection rate in the world at 23.3%. That’s nearly one in four people. Despite these grim numbers, we believe Lesotho’s future lies in the h

ands of her children. And we believe that future is bright! We focus on three strategies: Protect and nurture children. Preserve and strengthen families. Mobilize communities to do the same. We partner with local community groups, the Lesotho Ministry of Social Development, the Child and Gender Protection Unit, and other stakeholders to minister to the needs of the most vulnerable children. Join us as we act now, equipping and empowering communities to raise the next generation, a generation rising above the challenges of this beautiful country!

When was the last time you felt the JOY of generosity? Make today that day! Support our work at Trust for Africa, support the work of small non-profits you love, and support those who are making a difference. It's so much fun! Joy is contagious, and it multiplies to the children, the families, and the communities all impacted by your generosity. We know, we see it! Link in bio!

The darkness of night descended upon the mountains, and my siblings and I would strain our necks to see who could see our town first as we crested a certain hil...

Trust for Africa is proud to have one of our children participating as a bold voice in the Children's Parliament!

We are grateful to World Vision Lesotho and the Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development, and the partnership we have to "help build stronger, safer communities where children are not only protected but heard, empowered, and placed at the heart of national development.

Together, we’re building stronger, safer communities for every child."
