MECO requests that every youth and child spare some time in their life towards serving the environment and culture by spreading pride and responsibility to these two aspects. The birth of MECO as a non-profit making NGO marks the beginning of a journey to empower the youth in Lesotho so that they can participate in a process of meaningful change and initiative. At the heart of MECOs duty, is the conviction that the environment and culture intertwine and through careful implementation these two can actually save each other.
