Our Story
Literacy For Africa AID (LIFAA) is a Youth founded, youth focused non profit organisation based in the city of Maseru which is the capital for the Southern Africa country of Lesotho. Founded in 2015 by a synergy of youth from Zimbabwe and Lesotho; the organisation exists to enhance access to information and services for sustainable youth development in the region and Africa. Our mission is to build the competence and knowledge of young people in the areas of health, education, finance and rural development. In the thematic area of Health. The organisation has implimented advocacy and awareness activities in youth targeted SRH health in Lesotho, partnering with organisations like AIDS HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION, LENEPHWA, SESOTHO MEDIA, MATRIX to mention a few. Activities have been implemented targeting youth in higher learning Institutions like National University. In the thermatic area of Finance. LIFAA has partnered with private sector towards the development and implimentation of the Lesotho Financial Awareness Program targeting youth. The is working with companies like Greenfield Resources pty ltd to develop age appropriate programs for youth in financial literacy. In the thematic area of Rural Development. LIFAA works toward equipping youth with current demographic information from key reports to help youth organisations develop informed programs in their respective organisations. We facilitate access to information on investors, funding and programs through which youth in rural areas can connect.
