Mantsopa was honored to participate in the official launch of the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Network in Lesotho, today. This is a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration and collective action among civil society organisations across the country, and with the government.

By bringing organizations together, the network will help amplify community voices, strengthen accountability, and improve the impact of development and health initiatives nationwide.

The support of partners such as CHAL, CHAZ, and Gavi highlights the growing recognition of civil society's vital role in advancing equitable health services and reaching underserved communities.

Mantsopa looks forward to contributing to a stronger, more connected, and impactful civil society sector in Lesotho.

In 2013, Mr. Lethusang Phahamane was diagnosed with Tuberculosis (TB). At the time, he feared that his life was coming to an end. To support his recovery, healthcare professionals advised him to stop smoking, avoid alcohol, and strictly adhere to his TB medication.

Mr. Phahamane followed this advice, and with the unwavering support of his family, he remained committed to his treatment. After six months, he successfully completed his treatment and was cured of TB.

His story is a powerful reminder that TB is curable when diagnosed early and treated correctly.

If you are experiencing symptoms such as persistent coughing, unexplained weight loss, loss of appetite, night sweats, or fever, visit your nearest health facility for screening and treatment.

TB services are available free of charge at all government health facilities.

Together, we can end TB. 💪🏾🫁

Shout out to the incredible Morija Girl Guide Club for delivering powerful SRHR edutainment to the Morija LECSA congregation! 👏✨

Empowering our adolescent girls and young women with Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information is not about exposing them to “bad things” — it’s about equipping them with knowledge, confidence, and the ability to make informed decisions about their lives and futures.

Parents, let’s stand together in guiding our girls. When they are informed, they are empowered to:
✔️ Avoid early and unintended pregnancies
✔️ Understand their rights and choices
✔️ Access essential health services without fear

Because knowledge is power — and empowered girls build stronger communities. 💪🌸

Today, on the 30 April 2026, Mantsopa Institute participated in the National Dialogue held at Manthabiseng Convention Centre, contributing to important discussions on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), the demographic dividend, and ongoing policy review processes.

The dialogue convened key stakeholders to engage on critical thematic areas, including access to youth-friendly SRH services, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), comprehensive sexuality education, youth participation in policy and governance, and opportunities linked to the demographic dividend.

These discussions reaffirm our commitment to advocating for inclusive, responsive policies and empowering young people with the knowledge and services they need to thrive.

Mantsopa Institute hosted a stakeholder workshop at Khutsong Lodge following research that identified key knowledge gaps, barriers, and community preferences on childhood immunisation.

The workshop validated the findings, refined the message matrix, and jointly designed a practical community feedback mechanism to strengthen immunisation services. Together, we strive for fully vaccinated children protected from deadly diseases.
