Spastic quadriplegia is one of the most severe forms of Cerebral Palsy, affecting all four limbs and sometimes even speech, swallowing, and movement.
But behind the stiffness, muscle spasms, and daily struggles is a child full of dreams, emotions, intelligence, and love. ❤️
Many families fight silent battles every single day — therapy appointments, medications, sleepless nights, seizures, feeding challenges, and the constant hope for progress no matter how small.
Yet these little warriors continue to smile, teach us patience, strength, and unconditional love. 🫶🏽
Disability is not inability.
Every child deserves dignity, support, inclusion, and a world that sees beyond their condition.

Most people don't understand this about Cerebral Palsy…

For many kids and adults with CP, stretching does not feel the way it feels for a typical body.

Muscles that are already tight are being asked to do something they are constantly resisting.

The brain is sending signals to tighten.

The stretch is asking the muscle to lengthen.

The body is caught in the middle of two opposite instructions at the same time.

That pain is not imagined.

That reaction is not dramatic.

This can look like:

• Crying or screaming before the stretch even starts

• Pulling away or tensing up during home exercises

• Doing better with a therapist but resisting with parents

• Seeming fine one day and refusing the next

• Fear of stretching that builds over time

This is not being difficult.

It is not overreacting.

It is a body that experiences stretching as a fight between two signals and your child is caught in the middle every single time.
