Partnerships that drive impact!

UNFPA and the Road Fund in Lesotho came together for a strategic engagement to explore collaboration in addressing some of the country’s most pressing challenges, including teenage pregnancy, maternal health, gender-based violence, and youth empowerment.

Led by UNFPA Representative John Kennedy Mosoti and Road Fund Chief Executive Officer CEO, Ms 'Matsepang Sekhokoane, the meeting highlighted the need for strengthened collaboration in improving the lives of women, girls, and young people across Lesotho.

By joining forces, we can accelerate progress towards safer communities, healthier families, and empowered youth, leaving no one behind.

The journey to motherhood should be a source of joy, not a gateway to trauma.

Nearly 1 in 2 women (44.1%) in Lesotho have experienced physical or sexual violence since the age of 15.

Even more concerning, 36% of women have faced violence from an intimate partner.

These are not just numbers, they are lives, futures, and rights affected. Ending gender-based violence starts with all of us.

Let’s speak out. Let’s support survivors. Let’s act.
