OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Sweat Equity Leadership Development proudly congratulates and warmly welcomes Alpha Anthony Togar to our executive team as Chief Strategist and Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer.

In this role, Mr. Togar will provide strategic direction on youth empowerment, sports-led development, and creative arts infrastructure, directly advising the CEO on high-impact initiatives that align with our mission of building resilient, self-determined leaders.

Biography of Alpha Anthony Togar

Visionary Youth Leader | Creative Thinker | Footballer | Advocate for a State-of-the-Art Sports & Creative Arts Academy in Liberia

Early Life & Education

Born on February 21 in Phebe, B**g County, Liberia, Alpha Anthony Togar grew up in a nation recovering from civil war. Witnessing the struggles of his community’s youth, he drew inspiration from two powerful role models: Marcus Garvey whose philosophy of empowerment and self-determination shaped his worldview, and King George Manneh Weah, the international football legend who rose from humble beginnings to become a symbol of hope and transformation.

After high school, Togar traveled across Asia to play football while excelling academically. He earned a scholarship to study Sports Management and completed the prestigious Arfeen Khan Coach at Coach To A Fortune (CTF) program in Kolkata. His education deepened his understanding of how sports and recreation drive socio-economic change.

Career & Vision

Returning to Liberia after his CTF certification, Togar worked as a Life Coach and Sports Ambassador for local youth programs, promoting fitness, teamwork, and discipline. In 2021, he founded the Sons of Manneh (SOM Movement) a platform to unite individuals committed to building a world-class sports academy offering training, mentorship, and resources for talented youth.

Achievements & Impact

Under Togar’s leadership, SOM evolved from a small community initiative into a nationally recognized institution. Key accomplishments include:

· Securing partnerships with local businesses, international organizations, and government agencies.
· Lifting numerous footballers across Liberian districts and communities.
· Partnering with King Buju International Sports Academy to rebrand, restructure, and develop academy infrastructure including training facilities, mentorship classrooms, and wellness centers.
· Establishing a Coaching Mastermind program where veteran professionals mentor the next generation.

Togar is a vocal advocate for sports and creative arts policy reform, speaking regularly at forums and conferences on investing in youth talent to foster national pride and social cohesion.

Legacy & Future Aspirations (as of 2026)

Alpha Anthony Togar continues to lead the Sons of Manneh with relentless passion. His ultimate dream: build a premier Sports & Creative Arts Academy in Liberia, then expand into a network of academies across West Africa.

His story rooted in resilience, vision, and an unshakable belief in Liberian youth stands as a beacon of hope. Inspired by Marcus Garvey and King George Manneh Weah, Togar is shaping the future of sports and creative arts in Liberia while inspiring a generation to dream big and strive for excellence.
