Over the course of 7 weeks, girls ages 15–25 will participate in interactive workshops, mentorship conversations, personal branding sessions, leadership development activities, and inspiring discussions with women leaders from various fields.

Join us for Stories That Shine, a fun and engaging literacy program for children ages 7–9!

Beginning June 29th, learners will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00–5:00 PM to build their reading, writing, public speaking, and storytelling skills.

Throughout the program, students will create their own original stories and gain confidence as readers, writers, and storytellers.
The program will conclude with a special Story Celebration on August 2nd, where learners will share their stories with family and friends.

We left yesterday’s Born Before Computer (BBC) Program closing ceremony feeling deeply optimistic about the future.

Watching our graduates receive their certificates reminded us that when people are given the right support, transformation happens. These new digital skills will continue to open doors, improve job performance, and create better opportunities for participants and their families for years to come.

A highlight of the event was when our Country Manager, Ms. Tukus Ama Harris, led a powerful fundraising session. We are truly grateful to everyone who contributed; together, we raised funds to fully sponsor 15 students who would not have been able to join the program otherwise.

We believe it’s never too late to learn, grow, and shape a brighter future.

This story truly moved us.

In 2016, one of our graduates failed a job interview because he couldn’t create simple tables or charts in Excel.
Every day at work, he struggled with basic spreadsheets, feeling stuck, embarrassed, and left behind.

Through the Born Before Computer (BBC) Program, his experience changed. In a survey we collected after the training, he shared:

“The instructor broke everything down step by step. Now I’m more comfortable than ever.”

This reflects the reality for so many adults who are expected to already have digital skills, even though many were never given the opportunity to properly learn them.

As a result, they miss opportunities that could have empowered and transformed their lives. That’s why we created the Born Before Computer (BBC) Program, an initiative designed to help adults and complete beginners gain practical digital skills and confidence in using technology.

As our keynote speaker, Madam Wade Thompson Dennis, reminded us during her speech yesterday, it is never too late to learn, grow, and rewrite your story.

Yesterday we celebrated our latest BBC Program graduates; it was such a joyful moment!

We were truly honored to have some incredible guests grace the event. Our International Program Manager, Chantelle Ashley, from Empowerment Squared, travelled all the way from Ghana just to join us on this prestigious day.

We also had the privilege of listening to a powerful Keynote Address by Madam Wade Thompson Dennis, a highly respected Project Management Professional.

Our very own Country Manager, Ms. Ama Harris, was there supporting the graduates along with special guests from Naymote and other partner institutions.

The energy in the room was intense as we celebrated our third cohort of graduates. One participant stated, “I went for an interview and wasn’t accepted because I was not computer literate.”

Stories like this remind us why this program matters so much: many adults are missing out on opportunities simply because they never learned basic computer skills.
The Born Before Computers (BBC) Program is a practical, beginner-friendly digital skills training designed for adults with little or no computer experience.
