As a partner, we joined YOTAN and other organizations to host the celebration of International Youth Day in Kakata, Margibi on August 12.
The program brought together community organizations and youth leaders, students and youth from across Kakata and its environs.
The attendees were inspired, educated and empowered with the right information to take charge of their future as a young generation.

We had a very successful consultative meeting with young farmers from across Liberia yesterday. It was a very fruitful and engaging moment, gathering ideas to chart a new course for youth in agriculture. We say thanks to all the young farmers and we assured you our commitment to sail with you on this journey to make Liberia food secure with your hands, hearts and heads.

OUR Motivation

The world is currently occupied by over seven billion people. It is projected that by 2050, the population of the world would be 9.8 billion. In the wake of the growing population, the biggest challenge remains food security, follows by employment opportunity, a gap being created by the world growing population.

Youth in Africa constitute 19% of the global youth population in 2015, numbering 226 million. Africa has the fastest-growing and most youthful population in the world. Over 40% are under the age of. 15 and 20% are between the ages of 15 and 24.

Looking at these statistics and projections, there should be an obvious reason why young people of Africa need to be attracted to agriscience and agribusiness in order to save the continent from food shortage and huge unemployment deficit
