ABOUT BENJUD HUMANITARIAN NETWORK:
Benjud Humanitarian Network, commonly referred to as Benjudhnet, is a Liberian non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2012 to cater to the overall welfare of abandoned blind persons and their families. The organization grew out of a vision of two Liberians, Benjamin K. Kolako and Judith Togar who have for many years had a passionate heart fo
r the plight of thousands of abandoned blind persons and their families. These abandoned blind persons and their families, their wives and children often find accommodation difficult and hardly have access to daily meal and basic necessities. Many of them are often seen parading various streets and communities begging for food and other essentials for survival. It is however interesting to know that many of these abandoned persons have talents which can be used to transform their lives into productive citizens in becoming self-reliance and have a sense of belonging. This is possible and can be done through education, training and economic empowerment. Since the establishment of Benjudhnet, it has in a small way strived to help these abandoned blind persons and their familiesS with feeding and other programs. Benjudhnet desires to do more, but it needs assistance to enhance its vision. These persons are in need of shelter, food, education, training and economic empowerment. This is exactly what Benjudhnet wants to help them achieve. The office of Benjudhnet is located on Harmon Field, Du-Port Road, Paynesville City, Monrovia, Liberia.
