At Full Circle Learning Liberia, we are proud to spotlight the voices of our young leaders.

In this video, Girls United member Godwina E.C. Togbah shares powerful insights during a recent panel discussion, addressing important questions:
• Why do girls need education?
• What can girls bring to the table of life?
• And what impact can Girls United make?

Her words reflect confidence, purpose, and the strength of empowered girls shaping a better future.

Watch, listen, and be inspired by the next generation of change-makers.

Update From Girls United.

We are excited to share progress from our students’ environmental initiative! The City View Girls United team has successfully launched their composting project at the Korto J.P. Vogar School System campus.

After beginning the composting process, the girls realized that the amount of waste generated on campus alone was not sufficient to sustain their growing project. In response, they took an innovative step by building partnerships within the community.

Community members are now supporting the initiative by packaging organic waste from their homes for collection every Friday. This collaboration is not only strengthening the project but also promoting environmental awareness beyond the school.

We are proud of these young leaders for their creativity, teamwork, and commitment to sustainability!

Update Girls United

Girls United (GU) is pleased to share an update on our ongoing Waste Management Project. Following our previous post on the start of the composting training, we are excited to announce the successful conclusion of the first phase of the training.

This milestone has now paved the way for the official start of our composting initiative, where organic waste from the school—especially cafeteria leftovers and peels—will be transformed into compost to support environmental sustainability.

We commend all the students who participated actively in the training and look forward to the positive impact this initiative will bring to our school community and environment.

Waste Management Project Update – Girls United.

We are proud to share progress from our student-led waste management initiative under the Full Circle Learning program. The Girls United team began by introducing waste sorting on campus through labeled bins for paper, plastic, peels, and cafeteria leftovers.

As the project grew, additional bins were provided for each classroom to strengthen proper waste separation across the school.

The girls have now taken the next step by beginning composting training, learning how organic waste can be transformed into valuable compost for environmental sustainability.

We are proud of their leadership and commitment to creating a cleaner and greener school community.

Waste Management Project Update!

At Full Circle Learning – Liberia, we are proud to share progress from our Waste Management Project, implemented by the City View Girls United Chapter.

The girls have been actively gathering waste from local schools, including plastic, paper, cafeteria leftovers, and fruit peels. After careful discussions, they decided to turn cafeteria leftovers and peels into organic compost as a sustainable solution to reduce waste and support local agriculture

To ensure the project meets real community needs, the girls conducted a market survey to assess demand for compost and understand how farmers and gardeners could benefit from it. This step is helping them make informed decisions while building skills in research, entrepreneurship, and environmental leadership

We are incredibly proud of these young leaders for turning waste into opportunity and driving positive change in their community. More updates coming soon.

Today, the City View GU Chapter’s Waste Management Project officially took effect with the placement of clearly labeled bins across the Korto J.P. Vogar School System campus.
This girls-led initiative promotes proper waste management through recycling and composting, with a focus on four key categories of school waste: paper, plastic, peels, and cafeteria leftovers.
The project represents a meaningful step toward environmental responsibility and sustainability within our school community.

Children of God School Restores Hope Through Hobbit-of-Heart "Collaboration"

As Children of God Elementary and Junior High School continues to thrive under the Heart of Heart (HoH) Collaboration, it was an exciting moment for Sam Bannie and Abraham Bannie as they were warmly welcomed by their fellow students to their new school.

Both had been staying home, watching their peers attend school with little hope of returning to the classroom this year due to their parents’ financial challenges.

However, through the compassionate efforts of Children of God School, in collaboration with the local community, these once hopeless children have regained their dreams of education. The school and community jointly provided two financial aid packages to support the most vulnerable learners.

Sam Bannie, 14 years (grade 5) and Abraham Bannie 6 years (Nursery) are two of six children from a family that struggles daily to earn a living.

Children of God Elementary and Junior High School is one of Full Circle Learning Liberia’s trained institutions that continues to make a positive impact in its community through collaboration. Since 2022, the school has supported six learners by establishing local scholarships within the Peace Island Community in Congo Town.

This inspiring initiative was first introduced by Cecelia Powia, a former student who was motivated by the Hobbit-of-Heart Collaboration. Cecelia realized that when schools and communities work together, they can help address the issue of children staying out of school due to financial hardship.

Even in her absence, the school has continued this initiative, which has led to a reduction in tuition fees and greater access to education since 2022.
