Samuel Deputy, Secretary General of the Alliance on Disability in Liberia, and Taweh Johnson, Executive Director of Campaigners Against Misinformation and Disinformation in Liberia (CAMDL) , representing the Alliance, recently met with the World Bank Group team in Liberia as part of a Digital Skills and Jobs Deep-Dive Diagnostic. The discussion focused on assessing digital capacity, employment opportunities, and inclusion across the country, with both leaders sharing practical experiences and insights on improving access to digital skills and jobs for persons with disabilities in Liberia.

They highlighted key challenges such as access to up-to-date data for people with disabilities, adaptive technologies, gaps in inclusive training, and ongoing social stigma, while also pointing to emerging opportunities within Liberia’s digital economy. Both emphasized the need for inclusive digital initiatives and stronger collaboration among government, development partners, and civil society to build accessible training systems and expand sustainable employment pathways.

As a member of the Alliance on Disability in Liberia, CAMDL is continuing to support digital literacy and inclusive access to information.
