A Note on Responsible Communication

We recognise that concerns about online scams are legitimate, and we encourage everyone to verify information before making payments or reaching conclusions.

At the same time, we respectfully encourage members of the public to refrain from publicly labelling the conference or organisation as a โ€œscamโ€ without first conducting reasonable verification or seeking clarification from the organisers.

False or unsubstantiated statements published publicly that damage the reputation of an organisation or its work may raise defamation/libel concerns and, depending on the circumstances, may result in legal action or claims for damages. (LibLawโ ๏ฟผ)

Our preference, however, is always verification, dialogue and clarification before accusation.

We welcome genuine questions and encourage prospective delegates to use the official communication channels provided by Encourage Africa Counseling & Career Foundation.

To further support menstrual health and dignity, we also donated sanitary pads to the school, PCS, as our contribution to the fight against period poverty and to help ensure that girls have access to essential menstrual products.

Together, we can build informed, supportive communities where menstruation is understood, respected, and never a barrier to education. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿฉธ

Ahead of Menstrual Hygiene Day commemorated on May 28, Healing Minds Initiative Liberia on May 26 conducted a menstrual hygiene awareness session with students in grades 4โ€“6 at Paynesville Community School.

The session focused on helping students understand menstruation, the importance of proper hygiene, kindness, respect, and creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone. Through open conversations and age-appropriate discussions, students were encouraged to see periods as a normal and healthy part of growing up. ๐Ÿ’œ

We were honored to have one of our dedicated volunteers, Naomi Nyemah, represent us at the recent MSD Coalition Learning Series: 'MSD in Action in Liberia,' hosted by GROW-2, Mercy Corps, and UNIDO.

As the aid landscape in Liberia shifts toward sustainability and localization, it is vital that we adapt our strategies. Our team gained invaluable insights into moving from 'direct delivery' to 'system strengthening', ensuring that the work we do today creates a lasting impact for tomorrow.

Thank you to Dave Asa Newton and the entire organizing team for facilitating such a candid and practical exchange. We are excited to apply these lessons to our upcoming initiatives!
