๐๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ entered contractual agreements with four youth led organizations to implement Youth Challenge Fund activities in Liberia, empowering young people in youth related intervention areas.
Selected through a due diligence process, Disability Aid Liberia, Girls Health Alliance, Women and Youth Development International and Action for Girls Empowerment are organizations qualified to benefit from youth friendly funds for capacity building to implements projects targeting young people in Liberia.
The signing ceremony took place on Monday, 9 February 2026 at Plan International Liberia main office in Sinkor. As part of signing ceremony, representatives of the four organizations were taken through Inception meetings aimed to formally onboard them as partners, strengthen their institutional capacity, and ensure compliance with Plan Internationalโs Global Policies and operational standards.
They went through orientation around Safeguarding and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSHEA), Fraud and Anti-Corruption, Financial Management, Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL), Grant Management, and Communication protocols.
Key activities conducted include policy sensitization, clarifications of roles and responsibilities, review of grant and reporting requirements, interactive discussions, and formal contract signing.
The partners demonstrated improved understanding of compliance requirements, accountability mechanisms, and safeguarding responsibilities, strengthening their readiness for effective project implementation.
