Pageantry Union of Liberia Pays Tribute to Helen Carrie Everett 🕊️👑
Today, family, friends, members of the pageantry community, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of Helen Carrie Everett, a remarkable young woman whose beauty, grace, intelligence, and compassionate spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Helen Carrie Everett made history as the first Liberian-American woman to be crowned Miss North Carolina, a groundbreaking achievement that brought immense pride to Liberians both at home and across the diaspora. Through her accomplishment, she became a symbol of excellence, determination, and possibility for young women everywhere. She showed that with hard work, confidence, and purpose, dreams can become reality.
Beyond the crown, Carrie was passionate about empowering others. She believed in the transformative power of education and the arts, especially music, as tools for inspiring and uplifting young people. Her commitment to service and her desire to create opportunities for others will continue to define her legacy.
The Pageantry Union of Liberia proudly recognizes the establishment of the Helen Carrie Everett Foundation, which will carry forward her vision by supporting underprivileged children with educational opportunities and helping aspiring young musicians pursue their dreams. Through this foundation, Carrie's passion for empowering the next generation will continue to impact lives across Liberia.
We are also honored to announce that Miss Canile D.D. Williams(Vice President of the Pageantry Union of Liberia), CEO of RISE Incorporation and National Director of Miss Face of Humanity Liberia, will dedicate the inaugural edition of Miss Face of Humanity Liberia to the memory and legacy of Helen Carrie Everett. This special tribute will celebrate her humanitarian spirit, her historic achievements, and her unwavering commitment to uplifting others.
Carrie's legacy is not only the crown she wore but the doors she opened, the barriers she broke, and the lives she inspired. She represented Liberia with dignity and pride and leaves behind a story that will continue to motivate future generations of leaders, humanitarians, artists, and queens.
