We sincerely thank everyone who has supported this effort. To those who intended to contribute but were unable to do so, we also appreciate your willingness and kind thoughts. Your willingness to support us means a lot.

A new school year brings a fresh opportunity to learn, grow, and dream.

Girls for Better Society - GBS has started paying registration and tuition fees for its scholarship beneficiaries for the new academic year, helping girls stay in school despite the financial challenges their families face.

Among them is Stanlinta Davis, a student at Mt. Zion Christian Academy, who was promoted to the 4th grade.

For Stanlinta and many other girls, this support means more than school fees, it means staying in the classroom, building confidence, and having the opportunity to shape a brighter future.

At GBS, we believe no girl should be left behind because of financial hardship. Every girl deserves the chance to learn, grow, and reach her full potential.

Congratulations to one of our Girls for Better Society - GBS beneficiaries, Mary Krinager, on her promotion to the 6th grade.

Mary started her journey with GBS in kindergarten. Today, seeing her move forward to the 6th grade is a reminder of what education and consistent support can do in a child’s life.

Mary’s story is shared by many of the girls GBS supports. They have dreams, potential, and the desire to learn, but they need people who are willing to stand with them.

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 academic year, GBS will soon begin the registration of our beneficiaries. We are appealing to humanitarians, individuals, friends, organizations, and everyone who believes in the importance of education to support this mission.

Your contribution can help provide school fees, books, uniforms, shoes, bags, and other essential school needs.

Girls for Better Society - GBS sincerely appreciates our veteran and big brother, Mohammed Z Fofana, for his generous contribution of US$105 toward keeping our beneficiaries in school for the 2026–2027 academic year.

His kindness will help a girl stay in school and continue building a brighter future. Kindness like his is rare in this world, and we are deeply grateful for his belief in the GBS mission.

Meet Stanlineta Davis, a beneficiary of the Girls for Better Society (GBS) Scholarship Program and a student of Mt. Zion Chemistry Academy Annex-1. Stanlineta Davis joined the GBS Scholarship Program when she was in 1st grade. Since then, GBS has covered her full tuition, hired a private tutor, and provided school supplies every school year. Today, she has completed 3rd grade and has been promoted to 4th grade, where GBS will continue to support her education.

Girls for Better Society is committed to promoting and supporting the education of girls from low-income families and underserved communities who desire to learn but lack the financial means to attend school.

Our mission is built on the belief that no girl should be denied her basic right to education because of poverty, financial hardship, culture, or tradition. Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future.

Today, we are calling on well-meaning Liberians, humanitarians, businesses, and organizations to join us in this mission of empowering less privileged girls through education.

Born to a teenage mother in a rural village, Mary’s early childhood was defined by hardship. As a baby, she was brought to Monrovia by her grandmother. Growing up, Mary had never seen a classroom. Instead of preparing for school each morning, she went from house to house washing dishes in exchange for food. Education was not a dream within reach , survival was.

Everything changed when Girls for Better Society - GBS encountered Mary and made a commitment to support her education. GBS enrolled her in a private school beginning in kindergarten (K1), provided a private tutor at school, and ensured she received additional academic support at home. Through consistent financial and moral support, Mary was given not just access to education, but the tools to excel.

Today, Mary has been promoted from 4th to 5th grade in recognition of her outstanding academic performance across the first, second, and third periods. Her journey reflects what is possible when determination meets opportunity.
