HOUR 1, 10 AM Central. Awol Allo, Keele University School of Law, joining from the United Kingdom. The first hour looks at Ethiopia through the law, and at what accountability looks like from where he sits. Hour 1 runs with a single guest this week. We were not able to seat a second voice in time.
HOUR 2, 11 AM Central. Doris D. Myers, Founder and Executive Director of LESSAT Africa, joining from Monrovia, and Rufus J. Kwenah, Co-Founder of LESSAT Africa, joining from Iowa. The second hour turns to the diaspora and to community development. LESSAT Africa was founded in 2012 to open science and technology education to girls in Liberia. We ask what that work requires on the ground, how a small organization keeps it funded year to year, and what a diaspora led effort can and cannot deliver from outside the country.
