The West Point Women for Health and Development Organization WPWHDO is calling on stakeholders and FGM Actors to unite in the FIGHT to end FEMALE GE***AL MUTILATION (FGM) in Liberia and the world at large. As we ended the 3 years banned on FGM in Liberia, we as actors shouldn't relax but be relentless in our pursuit for happiness and justice for survivors, awareness and alternatives for practitioners and freedom from all harms targeted against women and girls.🙏👍💪

We call on the Government of Liberia to help us realize this by imposing a 6 years ban on FGM in Liberia, let other governments of countries follow on the same pattern to help stop violence against women and girls in the world. 🙏👍

WPWHDO representing The Amplifying Rights Network collaborated with the West Point Adolescent Initiative. The ARN members represented were: WPWHDO, IDI and CSO Platform, the 16 Days of Activism on Dec 5, 2024 being the International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development, is being celebrated to amplify the role of volunteers in combating GBV, promoting community led initiatives and encouraging solidarity and action. The day also calls to celebrate the contributions of volunteers while mobilizing more individuals and organizations to take action against GBV.
