Tone me up Lord

Tune Up.
The flight is late. Passengers in wait are losing their calm already. Many are fretful, brows knitted with worry that the airline tardiness was going to mess up their schedules. Each time a jet roars in the lonely sky, they look up to see if it's their plane. Finally, the big bird breezes in from the thick furs above and perches with grace on the shimmering tarmac. All see it land. Eyes light up with relief. Lips part with smiles. It's here !. At last...
The flight is imaginary. But the concept is not. Achievement is a factor of focus. The object of our focus may arrive late. But, we won't miss watching it land. That's why we must tune our heart up. If the Rapture will happen in the sky how many of us may miss it simply because we aren't looking up for it! Lots of us are so earth-bound these days. Just how many are longing for the flight? Any?
All our plans, projections, programmes, pleasures, preferences , pursuits and passions are situated below this sky. Even when we pray, go to church, and do piety our objective isn't much about matching our life here with God's redemptive purpose but erecting a safe platform for us to flourish on earth.
We have succumbed to the Earth's gravity.
I am scared we might miss the flight.
Can we all holler, 'Lord, tune me up.! '
