Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the world of work, leaving many professionals and family breadwinners in Liberia concerned about the future of their jobs.
Rather than viewing AI as a threat, the Liberian Youth Foundation (Liyoufu Liberia) is bridging the digital skills gap by equipping professionals and career-driven individuals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to harness AI as a tool for innovation, productivity, and economic growth.
Most recently, Liberian Youth Foundation successfully trained members of the United Photographers Empowerment Association, bringing together a diverse group of professionals, including accountants, desktop publishers, graphic designers, photographers, sociologists, and administrators.
Through hands on learning, participants explored practical AI applications relevant to their respective professions and gained exposure to a range of AI-powered tools that can significantly improve efficiency, creativity, accuracy, and overall productivity.
Beyond technical skills, the training challenged common misconceptions about Artificial Intelligence, helping participants understand that AI is not a replacement for human talent but a powerful partner that enhances professional performance.
By embracing AI, participants are now better positioned to remain competitive in the evolving digital economy, deliver higher-quality services, create new income generating opportunities, and strengthen their long-term career resilience.
