Young Mothers Initiative – Liberia (YMI) was born out of a desperate need to ensure that all mothers, especially young, adolescent mothers have access to essential resources for a successful pregnancy, birth and care of a child. Unfortunately, many of the adolescent mothers (ages 14 to 19) may not have adequate support from their families. To know that you have support and someone in your corner w
ho can provide answers to your questions or help teach you how to best care for yourself and a child is a blessing. Joy and not fear should be her focus for a mother when her child enters the world.
