National Association against Traditional Practices Affecting the Health of Women and Children (NATPAH) Inc. is a local NGO registered in the Republic of Liberian Government, started activities in the month of March 1985. The organization is a branch of the Inter African Committee with offices in Geneva, Switzerland and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It advocates for women who are treated inhumanly under t

he guise of traditional norms and practices. Its motto is “Listen, Learn, and Provide Services”. NATPAH’s mission is to discourage people from practicing harmful traditional practices including Gender Based Violence/Female Ge***al Mutilation and other Harmful Traditional Practices (GBV/FGM/HTPs) which are detrimental to the health of women and children and to encourage the non-harmful ones such as breastfeeding.
