High Self-Esteem Young Liberian Initiative Inc. The Organization and its volunteers aim to improve on existing gains made by other organizations and to create more opportunities for marginalized groups.

High Self-Esteem Young Liberians Initiative (HISEYLI) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established September 4, 2015 to empower, enhance and create alternative livelihood for people living in Liberia and its surroundings. HISEYLI was incorporated on April 12, 2016 through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is registered through the Liberia Business Registry (LBR) under the Business Corpor

ation Act of the Association Law of Liberia of 1976 as a not-for-profit organization. HISEYLI was founded to create alternative livelihoods for vulnerable people such as women, children, disengaged youths, persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups. The organization delivers services in the areas of Research, Community Development, Human Rights, Climate Change, Skill Development Training, etc. The managerial affairs of HISEYLI are coordinated by an Executive Director who is assisted by four (4) other senior executive staff members – Deputy Executive Director for Administration and Finance, Deputy Executive Director for Technical Services and Programme, Deputy Executive Director for Research and Grant and Deputy Executive Director for Field Services. HISEYLI has implemented for the United Nations Development Programme Global Environment Facility-Small Grant Program (UNDP/GEF-SGP), Project Zero – Argentina and Water Bearer Global. We have worked in 4 counties (Montserrado, Margibi, B**g, and Grand Bassa). We have the expertise to carry out a research project as our team comprises of knowledgeable and experienced professionals. Some of our works in glance:
 Trained 30 persons with disabilities in the production of eco stove (UNDP/GEF-SGP) Grant
 Trained 10 persons with disabilities in tailoring (UNDP/GEF-SGP) Grant
 Provided a revolving loan for 10 persons with disabilities to engage into small businesses (UNDP/GEF-SGP) Grant
 Worked with 5 Clans in Todee to preserve forest for the purpose of fighting climate change (UNDP/GEF-SGP) Grant
 Provided Sawyer Water Filters (Clean Water Filters) for 250 households in Jorquelleh, Buchanna and Dolo’s Town
 Partnered with Project Zero to paid 50 orphans school fees – Margibi, Montserrado, B**g and Grand Bassa Counties
 Partnered with Project Zero and trained 50 persons in First Aid Clinical Psychology to deal with disadvantaged youths and people with minor mental problems;
 Partnered with the Big Idea – Liberia and trained 56 persons in Leadership and solutions
 Partnered with Project Zero and constructed a modern bathroom with running water for the Great Commission Orphanage in Chicken Soup Factory
 Partnered with Project Zero and provided school desks and stationery for 800 school kids in Dolo’s Town, Margibi County
 Partnered with RESH-Liberia to do a survey on gender friendly education in Liberia
 Partnered with Project Zero and hosted a Christmas Party for 250 orphans at the Commission Orphanage
 Partnered with Project Zero and distributed beds, mattresses and bed-net for 100 orphans
 Rescued and treated a mentally Disable Orphan “Mercy Valeria” (she is currently staying in the Great Commission Orphanage along with 100 other orphans)
