Breaking barriers and keeping girls in school! 🩸✨
On June 5, 2026, Our Children Future team was live at John Varfley school in Montserrado for a powerful celebration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day! We combined education with real-world solutions to support the bright futures of young girls in our community.
Here is a look at what made the day so impactful:
📚 Menstrual Hygiene Management Workshop: Knowledge is power! Our Executive Director and Founder, Josephine K. Barclay (Aunty Jojo), led an open, educational session breaking down the phases of the menstrual cycle, teaching the youth how to understand and manage their health with confidence and dignity.
🎒 "Pad for Her" Kit Distribution: We didn't just stop at education. We distributed our sustainable, reusable menstrual kits. Each kit provides a long-term solution, enabling a girl to stay in school comfortably and confidently for 1–3 years!
🤝 Community Power: It takes a village to end period poverty. We are incredibly grateful to the leaders, families, and youth of John Varfley who stepped up to break the silence and normalize menstrual health.
🌟🌟 Special Acknowledgment: This outreach wouldn't have been possible without the amazing generosity and backing of the Royal Hotel and their CEO, Helen. Thank you for standing with OCF and investing in the health and dignity of Liberia's youth! 🤝✨
No girl should ever have to miss an education because of a natural cycle. Thank you to everyone who supported this vital mission!
