The Action for Educational Empowerment has concluded a one-day grand program in Careysburg on August 11, 2018. The Say No to Drug workshop begin with a walk from the Careysburg market to the Careysburg Elementary Schools where the indoor program was held. The purpose of the workshop was to enlighten residents about the harm that Drug Abuse possess to their health, society and encourage them to report cases of suspected drug user in their communities. The program brought together (50) participant from three communities, youth group and communities leadership.

The Action for Educational Empowerment (AEE) has continued the Anti-Drugs Abuse Awareness program title “Say No to Drugs Abuse in Your Communities.” This awareness program will help to prevent the spread of drugs abuse in various communities and is a replicate of similar program held in Monrovia.

Henceforth, the Anti-Drug awareness campaign will take place August 11, 2018 in Careysburg, West-point Community and is expected to bring together three communities with (45) participants. The program will begin with a walk from the Careysburg Market junction to the Careysburg Elementary School System where the indoor program will be held. Other communities’ stakeholders and youth groups are expected to grace the occasion. The workshop will basically focus on educating residents on the risk that drugs abuse poses to health and society; also providing preventive methods in keeping their communities safe. The program in near future will provide mentorship for victims and people that are vulnerable to substance use.

Action for Educational Empowerment (AEE) is a non-profit organization that delivers lasting solutions to numerous challenges facing the educational sector in Liberia. AEE envisions a Liberia with share opportunity for all citizens promoting peaceful dialogue; preventing sexual base violent, domestic violence, child labor, drugs abuse, etc. We focus on adolescent’s girls, street and neglected children, and teenagers involved in drugs & alcohol abuse, and many other programs.
