PRESS STATEMENT
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hon. Amos Tweh expresses deep disappointment over the unfortunate developments that characterized the Grand Finale match between Millionaire Quarter and Tolokor Community on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the Allison Sports Field.
The much anticipated event, which was intended to be a celebration of sportsmanship and community pride, instead witnessed conduct that fell far below the standards expected from participants and supporters alike. Reports of disorderly behavior and actions inconsistent with the spirit of the game have raised serious concerns.
Hon. Tweh is completely disappointed in the way some individuals, believed to be members and supporters of these teams, conducted themselves during the match. Such behavior undermines the very essence of the Community Traditional League.
The Community Traditional League was established to foster unity, peacebuilding, security, and, above all, to promote togetherness beyond political lines. It is meant to serve as a platform where communities come together in harmony, celebrate their shared identity, and strengthen social cohesion.
We therefore call on all community members, team leaders, and stakeholders to reflect on these unfortunate events and recommit themselves to the core values of respect, discipline, and peaceful coexistence. Sports should unite us, not divide us.
Hon. Tweh urges that immediate steps be taken to address the situation, ensure accountability where necessary, and prevent any recurrence in future engagements.
Let us all work together to preserve the integrity of our community initiatives and uphold the true spirit of unity that binds us.
Signed:
Albert Tommy Sambolah
General Secretary
