Former Assistant Commissioner of Police, Amos Alphonso Paypay finally takes over, as Director of the Monrovia City Police.

Paypay succeeded, former Director Thomas Garwo, who is now the senior technical advisor for the City Police.

Update on the Township parking:

Since the Launch of the Township parking on the 22nd of July, the team have actively operated for 16 days and generated a total of 85,730LRD from regular issuance of tickets to vehicle utilising public spaces both on the old road and Boulevard junction.

Out of the total amount generated, 40% was disbursed to the Township parking attendants as compensation, this is the first time that the Township have provided compensation of over 30,000LRD for volunteers in more than six years.

Identifying problems and finding possible solution is the only reason while we are here, the issue of unemployment needs to be addressed at all levels including the Local government.

4 yrs and and six months ago the Taskforce of the Township could only boast of a single Taskforce Officer to provide enforcement for a Township of over 91,631 people that reside therein, this created a difficult situation for the enforcement of ordinance, rules and order for vehicles, motorbikes, Trycircle, Businesses and petty traders.

On today, we paraded and uniformed 15 men who will take on the responsibility of enforcing ordinances within the Township, the 15 men underwent two weeks of intensive training that instilled some level of discipline in providing security for the Township and it's people.

All we can say to these men be loyal and protect the Township and it's people at all times.
