Today, on World Day Against Child Labour, the Liberia Chamber of Commerce joins the global call to end child labour and protect the rights and future of every child.

This year's theme, "Red Card to Child Labour: Fair Play for Children, Decent Work for Adults," reminds us that sustainable economic growth depends on creating decent employment opportunities for adults while ensuring that children have access to education, protection, and the chance to reach their full potential.

As the voice of the private sector, the Liberia Chamber of Commerce encourages businesses to uphold ethical labour practices, support safe and productive workplaces, and contribute to a future where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

A stronger economy begins with educated children, responsible businesses, and decent work for all.

🌍 World Environment Day 2026

Today, we join the global community in recognizing the importance of protecting our environment and promoting sustainable practices that support long-term economic growth.

A healthy environment is essential for thriving businesses, productive communities, and a resilient economy. As Liberia continues its development journey, the private sector has a critical role to play in encouraging responsible resource use, reducing waste, supporting green innovation, and contributing to a more sustainable future for all.

On this World Environment Day, we encourage businesses, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders across Liberia to embrace practices that protect our natural resources while creating opportunities for growth and prosperity.

Together, we can build a stronger economy and a healthier environment for future generations.

On Friday, May 15, 2026, the Liberia Chamber of Commerce hosted the Private Sector Steering Committee Meeting for the Supplier Development Program in Monrovia.

The meeting convened stakeholders from Government, the private sector, development partners, observers, and the Secretariat to strengthen collaboration around Liberia’s local content and supplier development agenda.

Key discussions focused on supplier capacity building, policy validation, compliance monitoring, employment opportunities, and the rollout of strategic initiatives aimed at increasing Liberian participation in key sectors of the economy.

We appreciate the participation and commitment of all stakeholders, including line ministries and agencies, industry associations, and development partners, toward building a stronger and more inclusive private sector ecosystem for Liberia.
