Today, Friday, June 19, 2026, the Teaching and Learning in Fragile Contexts (TLFC) Project successfully came to a close with a memorable Experience Sharing and Recognition Ceremony held at Corina Hotel on Tubman Boulevard, Sinkor.

While we feel a touch of sadness as this remarkable project ends, we are immensely proud and deeply grateful for the meaningful impact it has created in the lives of educators, learners, and communities across Liberia and Sierra Leone. The knowledge shared, partnerships forged, and achievements realized will continue to strengthen teaching and learning for many years to come.

The event featured:

✅ Presentation of TLFC Project achievements and impact
✅ Dissemination of Endline Evaluation Findings
✅ Experience sharing by project participants and beneficiaries
✅ Certification of Teacher Educators in recognition of their dedication, hard work, and commitment.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every project participant, teacher educator, beneficiary, stakeholder, and partner who contributed to the success of this important initiative.
Special thanks go to Global Affairs Canada for its generous and continued support. We are also profoundly grateful to CODE, and all implementing partners in Liberia and Sierra Leone for their unwavering dedication, collaboration, and commitment to improving education quality and creating lasting positive change.

Though the project has officially ended, its legacy will live on through empowered educators, stronger learning environments, and the many lives it has positively touched.
Together, we celebrate this journey, honor our shared achievements, and look forward with hope to the brighter future ahead.

Closing a Chapter, Strengthening the Future!

The Teaching and Learning in Fragile Contexts (TLFC) Project Closure Meeting marks the culmination of a journey dedicated to improving education and creating better learning opportunities for children and communities in Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Together with our partners, educators, students, and stakeholders, we celebrate the impact made, the lessons learned, and the commitment to continue building stronger teaching, better learning, and brighter futures.

WE-CARE Foundation warmly welcomed the CODE Team ahead of the Country-Level Closing Program of the Teaching and Learning in Fragile Contexts (TLFC) Project, scheduled for June 18–19.

It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, reflect on the project's achievements, and prepare for a successful closing event.

A little girl once walked into the WE-CARE Library holding a worn-out notebook and a curious smile. She quietly picked up a storybook and sat in the corner, turning each page with excitement.

Weeks later, she returned and proudly told the librarian, “One day, I want to write my own book so other children can read my story too.”

That is the power of a library. It is more than a room filled with books—it is a place where dreams begin, confidence grows, and young minds discover endless possibilities.

Happy Tuesday! Every book opened today could inspire a brighter tomorrow.

WE-CARE Foundation successfully concluded the county-level closing activities of the Teaching and Learning in Fragile Contexts (TLFC) Project at United Methodist University (Monrovia), Carver Christian University (Paynesville), David A. Straz-Sinje Technical and Vocational College, the University of Liberia–Sinje Campus (Grand Cape Mount County),Margibi University, and Kakata Rural Teacher Training Institute (KRTTI) in Kakata.

The program brought together stakeholders, educators, parents, and community members in a collaborative effort to strengthen teaching and learning practices and promote quality education across diverse learning environments.

A key highlight of the closing ceremonies was the certification of Host Teachers and Student Teachers, recognizing their commitment, dedication, and successful completion of the program. Their achievements reflect the importance of mentorship, professional development, and collaborative learning in building stronger educational systems.

WE-CARE Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to all partners, facilitators, participating institutions, and stakeholders whose support contributed to the success of this initiative. Together, we remain committed to advancing quality education, empowering educators, and creating meaningful learning opportunities for children and young people across Liberia.
