We’re officially in the implementation stage of our *Men Leading the Fight* Initiative 💪🏾

Yesterday, our team was at the Ministry of Health – Soniewen Health Facility in the Soniewen Community kicking off free prostate & liver cancer screening for 100 men aged 40-50!

Huge shoutout to the Soniewen Health Facility staff — your professionalism, patience, and support made today run smoothly. Thank you for partnering with us to protect men’s health in our communities 🙏🏾

Early detection saves lives. This is just the beginning.

What a night to remember! ✨

On 14th May, 2026, the Liberian Cancer Society proudly hosted our Men Leading the Fight Benefit Gala — and because of the incredible generosity of our sponsors, partners, and guests, we achieved something powerful.

💙 We doubled our impact.

Thanks to the funds raised, we are increasing the number of underserved men receiving life-saving screenings from 50 to 100 men across Montserrado County.

Each man will receive four critical tests:
✔️ PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen)
✔️ Ultrasound Abdomen and Pelvis
✔️ Hepatitis B screening
✔️ Hepatitis C screening

These screenings will take place in five communities:
📍 Duport Road
📍 Logan Town
📍 New Kru Town
📍 West Point
📍 Sonni Wen

We are especially grateful to our partner, JAHMALE Medical Solutions, for working with us at a reduced cost to make this expanded outreach possible. Together, we are breaking barriers to early detection and bringing care directly to the communities that need it most.

The energy in the room was electric. The commitment was real. The mission was clear: Men must lead the fight — by getting screened, by speaking up, and by supporting one another.

This is what impact looks like. This is what partnership makes possible. And this is only the beginning.

The time has come! A SOLD OUT EVENT!!!!

’SCANCELCANCER

The Liberian Cancer Society is hosting a Fundraising Benefit Gala, TOMORROW, to support subsidised cancer screenings for at least 50 underserved men.

We are on a Mission to improve early detection of prostate and liver cancers through affordable screening services for underserved men.

❗️Prostate and liver cancers remain major public health concerns among men in Liberia.
❗️Many men are diagnosed late due to cost and access barriers
❗️Limited access to affordable preventive services often results in late diagnosis.

The Gala will help to:
➡️ Raise funds to support *at least* 50 men from underserved communities
➡️ Provide prostate cancer screening (PSA & ultrasound)
➡️ Provide liver cancer screening (ultrasound, Hepatitis B & C testing)

A HUGE thank you to our amazing sponsors!

Our Platinum Sponsors represent the highest level of corporate leadership and social responsibility. With a generous contribution of $5,000, these distinguished partners have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the health and well-being of Liberian men. Their investment goes beyond sponsorship—it is a bold declaration that early detection saves lives and that prostate and liver cancer screenings must be accessible to more families across our nation. Because of their leadership, the Liberian Cancer Society can expand screening opportunities, strengthen awareness efforts, and bring hope to countless households.

Gold Sponsors – $2,000
Our Gold Sponsors have made a powerful statement of support through their generous $2,000 contribution. Their commitment plays a vital role in advancing prostate and liver cancer screenings and promoting early detection across Liberia. These organizations understand that timely screening can mean the difference between life and loss, and their partnership strengthens our ability to reach men who might otherwise go without care.

Silver Sponsors – $1,500
Our Silver Sponsors have contributed meaningfully to this cause with a $1,500 investment in hope and healing. Their support reinforces the importance of collective action in addressing prostate and liver cancer. By standing with the Liberian Cancer Society, they affirm that every contribution matters in expanding access to screening and strengthening our national response to cancer.

Bronze Sponsors – $1,000
Our Bronze Sponsors have stepped forward with a generous $1,000 contribution, helping to make the Men Leading the Fight Benefit Gala a meaningful and impactful event. Their support plays an essential role in raising awareness and funding life-saving prostate and liver cancer screenings for men who may not otherwise have access to care.

A HUGE shoutout and thanks to our Partners!!!
They truly are the quiet force behind our impact, standing with the Liberian Cancer Society in meaningful and practical ways.

Organizations like Jahmale help reduce the cost of prostate and liver cancer screenings, ensuring more men can access lifesaving services.

Mamba Point Hotel eases the cost of hosting our Benefit Gala, while Lonestar MTN amplifies our outreach by sending SMS messages encouraging men over 40 to access free screenings at no cost to LCS.

Jacks Rum generously provides instruments pro bono, strengthening our community engagement, and Alpha Phi Alpha continues to spread awareness online to mobilize men for screenings.

Crowd50 has joined forces with LCS to help cancel cancer in Liberia, while Randy’s Design works tirelessly to ensure our message is accurate and delivered with clarity and flair.

We are especially grateful to Aqua Life, our annual Gold Sponsor, who supports all of our activities and is always willing to step forward whenever LCS needs that much more. Without the immense commitment of our partners, we simply would not be able to carry out the life-saving work we do in our communities.
